Terms and Conditions

  1. No Guarantee of Results: ABA provides advertising services to help businesses reach a targeted audience within the beauty industry. While we offer opportunities for exposure, we do not guarantee specific results, such as increased sales, customer engagement, or brand recognition. Advertising performance can vary depending on various factors beyond our control, such as market conditions, consumer behavior, and the quality of your advertisement content.
  2. Compliance with Advertising Standards: ABA follows all ACCC and Australian advertising standards. It is your responsibility as the advertiser to ensure that your advertisements comply with relevant laws, including but not limited to the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which prohibits misleading or deceptive conduct and false representations in advertising. ABA reserves the right to reject or remove advertisements that violate these standards or are deemed inappropriate.
  3. Fair Use of Advertising Space: Advertisers are required to provide accurate, honest, and non-deceptive content for all advertising placements. Any false claims or misrepresentations may result in the termination of your advertising agreement without refund and could lead to further legal action under ACCC guidelines.
  4. Refund Policy: ABA offers advertising packages as outlined in our advertising agreements. Refunds for advertising services will not be provided unless otherwise required by law or in cases where ABA is unable to fulfill the agreed-upon service due to unforeseen circumstances.
  5. You agree to indemnify ABA against any claims arising from your advertisements, including claims of misleading or false advertising.

Preferred Supplier Verification Process

*By applying to be a verified preferred supplier, you acknowledge that $500 of your advertising fee is a non-refundable application fee.

At the Australian Beauty Association (ABA), we pride ourselves on connecting our members with trusted, high-quality suppliers. To ensure that the businesses we endorse meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction, we have established a rigorous verification process for our Preferred Supplier Membership. Below are the key requirements and criteria that all preferred suppliers must meet:

1. Minimum of 2 Years in Business

To be considered for the Preferred Supplier Membership, your business must have been operational for at least two years. This demonstrates industry experience and reliability, providing assurance to our members that you have a proven track record.

2. Proof of Insurance

All suppliers must provide current proof of insurance, including product liability insurance, to ensure that their products and services meet the necessary safety and risk management standards. This is a crucial aspect of protecting clients and businesses in the beauty industry.

3. Returns Policy Compliance with Australian Consumer Law

All suppliers must have a returns and refunds policy that aligns with Australian Consumer Law (ACL). This ensures that customers are provided with their legal rights in case of faulty products or unsatisfactory services, maintaining fairness and transparency in all transactions.

4. Compliance with Relevant Legislation

Suppliers must demonstrate compliance with all relevant industry regulations and guidelines, including but not limited to:

  • Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC): Ensuring fair trade, consumer protection, and competition laws are followed.
  • Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA): Suppliers of therapeutic goods, including beauty devices, must be registered and meet TGA guidelines.
  • Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA): For suppliers dealing with dental-related beauty products, compliance with ADIA regulations is required.
  • Cosmetics and Personal Care Regulations: For suppliers providing skincare, cosmetics, and personal care products, adherence to Australian cosmetics standards and regulations is mandatory.

5. Registered Australian Business

Preferred Suppliers must be legally registered as compliant Australian businesses and must operate within Australia. This ensures that all suppliers are accountable to Australian law and business standards.

6. No Legal Claims for Non-Compliance or Malpractice

Suppliers must not have any successful legal claims against them for non-compliance, malpractice, or breaches of consumer laws. This ensures that we are partnering only with businesses that maintain ethical practices and adhere to legal standards.

7. Ethical Business Practices

All suppliers must commit to ethical business practices, including fair treatment of customers, employees, and business partners. ABA values integrity in all transactions, and we expect our Preferred Suppliers to uphold the same values.

8. Quality Assurance and Product Safety

Suppliers must provide evidence of quality assurance processes, ensuring that the products and services they offer meet industry safety and quality standards. This includes regular testing, certification, and monitoring of products to guarantee they are safe for consumer use.

9. Ongoing Compliance Monitoring

ABA regularly reviews the compliance and performance of Preferred Suppliers. Suppliers are expected to maintain their adherence to all requirements throughout their membership. If any issues of non-compliance or malpractice arise, the supplier may be subject to review, suspension, or removal from the Preferred Supplier program.

By adhering to these stringent requirements, our Preferred Suppliers provide peace of mind to salons, clinics, and other businesses within the beauty industry. Our verification process ensures that only the most reliable, compliant, and high-quality suppliers are recommended to our members.

*By applying to be a verified preferred supplier, you acknowledge that $500 of your advertising fee is a non-refundable application fee.

If you’re ready to become an ABA Preferred Supplier, we welcome your application and look forward to building a trusted partnership with your business.
